I've heard that websites have to be 'accessible by all' - what does this mean?
The
Disability Discrimination Act requires that all business websites that show information and services must be accessible by all. This means that a visitor that is partially sighted can increase the size of the text on the screen and even change the colour of the text. A visitor that is blind can still use the internet. They use what is called a screen reader, to read the website to them. Our websites are written to comply with this act.
